All US Citizens require a visa to enter Brazil.
*New Visa Tourist Visa Fee for US Citizens: $130


General Requirements
1. A passport (valid for at least 6 months prior to its expiration date, and with at least one blank page available for the visa stamp)
2. One recent passport photo (black/white or color)
3.One visa application form, completed and signed
4. A photocopy of a round-trip ticket in one's name; or a signed letter on travel agency stationary, with confirmed round trip bookings; or, if traveling by land, a notarized bank letter concerning the balances in one's bank accounts, signed by the bank's manager, as proof of financial capacity to pay for one's stay in Brazil
5. Yellow Fever Immunization International Certificate is required only if the applicant has traveled within the last 90 days to any a list of countries listed on the Brazil embassy website.



Additional Requirements for Minors (Under 18)
1. A person under 18 years of age not traveling with both parents or legal guardian(s) must provide a notarized letter of consent signed by the non-accompanying parent(s) or guardian authorizing this Consulate to issue a visa and a copy of the minor’s birth certificate.

1. Evidence of your immigration status in the USA (e.g. copy of green card or
valid visa for the US)


Additional Requirements for Business
1. A business letter from the sponsoring company in the US. The letter should include the dates of travel, purpose of visit and a statement of financial responsibility for the applicant. (*Some consulates require this letter to be notarized.)
2. The employer or sponsoring company shall also specifically attest to each of the following statements: that the visa applicant will maintain his residency in the United States, that the visa applicant's trip to Brazil is of a short-term nature, that the goal of the visa applicant's trip to Brazil is strictly for business meetings not involving any technical assistance, not to exceed the legally authorized stay per visit, and that the visa applicant has no intention to immigrate to Brazil.

Tourism: $130.00
Business: $200.00
An additional $10.00 handling will be charged if application is sumbitted by mail or any individual other than the applicant or his/her immediate family.
