If any of the following statements are true, you should apply for a "new passport".
- You have never applied for a passport.
- You were under 16 years old when your previous passport was issued.
- Your passport has been lost or stolen.
- Your previous passport was issued more than 15 years ago.

- You can present your most recent passport.
- You were at least 16 years old when your most recent passport was issued.
- Your previous passport was issued less than 15 years ago.
- Your most recent passport is not badly damaged.

Additional Visa Pages
- Your passport is valid for at least one year.
- The visa pages in your passport are full of entry and exit stamps and visas.
